Guterres appeals for a pause in fighting in Gaza so that children can be vaccinated against polio

The United Nations Secretary General has added his voice calling for a pause in hostilities in Gaza so that polio vaccines can be distributed. Speaking in New York on Friday, Antonio Guterres called for warring parties to lay down their arms so that humanitarians can safely vaccinate more than half a million children against polio. Manhunt Launched in KwaZulu-Natal After Six Men Fatally Shot in Umlazi

In S.A, police in KwaZulu-Natal have launched a manhunt after six men were fatally shot in a Umlazi's informal settlement . The victims, aged between 20 and 40, were attacked by unknown suspects who first shot three men outside their accommodation before heading inside. The six were declared dead at the scene. Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the motive remains unclear:
