Suspect charged over shooting of Palestinian students in US

A man has appeared in court following the shooting of three Palestinian college students in the US state of Vermont. Suspect Jason J. Eaton was arrested on Saturday and his apartment was searched. He's been charged with three counts of second-degree attempted murder, and is being held without bail. Eaton has pleaded not guilty. Sally Patterson has more.

A 22-year-old man allegedly committed suicide at Rehoboth in the Hardap Region on Saturday. According to the crime report, Adriano Beukes hanged himself around 11pm in the Block D residential area. SA’s President Cyril Ramaphosa says the ANC government is bringing about real transformation

ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa says the government is bringing about real transformation in giving access to clean running water to people across the country. He unveiled the Bhekindodo Water Scheme in Jozini’s ward ten in KwaZulu-Natal yesterday, as part of the ANC’s election campaign. Ramaphosa has assured Jozini residents that the water roll-out project, benefitting 484 households, will see them accessing clean water.
