Indian man extradited to US over alleged Sikh separatist assassination attempt

An Indian man accused of attempting to kill a Sikh separatist on American soil has been extradited to the United States. Nikhil Gupta is scheduled to appear Monday in a New York courthouse on federal murder-for-hire charges. The S.A Investigating Directorate has dismissed a report by Sunday World that the arrest of ANC national chairperson, Gwede Mantashe is imminent. The publication said Mantashe’s imminent arrest was linked to security upgrades at his properties in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape from Bosasa.
