NamWater Updates Central Namibia’s Water Crisis

NamWater, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture Water and Land Reform, recently provided an update on the water supply situation in Central Namibia. Esley Kandorozu, Acting Manager of Hydrology at NamWater, highlighted the dire conditions exacerbated by recurrent droughts and unpredictable rainfall patterns due to climate change. The Von Bach Dam, a critical water source, is operating at only 11.3% capacity, signaling a severe shortage in the region.
