  AfriForum and Solidarity have dismissed Cosatu's claims that apartheid flags were displayed at the BELA protest in Pretoria. AfriForum's Kallie Kriel says the accusations are false and malicious. Ghana’s Consumer Inflation Climbs to 22.1% in October

  Ghana's consumer inflation rose for the second consecutive month in October, reaching 22.1% year-on-year, up from 21.5% in September, according to the country's statistics service. Reuters says, a government statistician shared that both food and non-food inflation had increased during the month. He highlighted that three sectors—food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing, water and fuel, and transport—accounted for about two-thirds of the overall inflation rate for October.

The Department of Basic Education is working closely with the Department of Health to develop new safety guidelines for schools following recent food contamination incidents linked to toxic pesticides. Basic Education minister Siviwe Gwarube told the media the department is also exploring legal measures to prevent hazardous chemicals, like organophosphates, from entering school environments to ensure the safety of learners:
