Eskom in S.A's Gauteng has strongly condemned the continuous vandalism of its infrastructure in Soweto following a fire at the Zola substation. The fire broke out yesterday morning, leaving homes and businesses in the vicinity without power. Eskom’s provincial spokesperson, Amanda Qithi, says based on preliminary findings, the fire was caused by vandalism, and the transformer oil was also stolen:

G7 leaders start arriving for summit in southern Italy

G7 leaders including U.S. President Joseph Biden and France's Emanuel Macron are arriving in southern Italy for a critical summit. They're set to discuss how to use 300 billion dollars of frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine, amongst a host of other global challenges.
