SA Police Seize Over 2000 Illegal Firearms in Festive Crackdown

  S.A's National Police Commissioner, Fannie Masemola, says two-thousand-198 illegal, and unlicensed firearms were seized and confiscated during festive season operations. The safer festive season operations commenced on the eleventh of October 2024 and ended on the 31st of January this year. The firearms seized include one-731 handguns, 154 homemade guns, 211 rifles, and 102 shotguns. South African Police Hunt Suspects in Fatal Shooting Outside Lenasia Court

  South Africa's Police are searching for two suspects who fatally shot a 27-year-old man outside the Lenasia Magistrate's Court in Gauteng. The victim, a witness in a murder trial, was approached and shot without warning. One other person was wounded. Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo has appealed to anyone with information to contact their nearest police station to aid the investigation:
