The United Nations Human Rights chief warns of a "dramatically deteriorating" situation in the occupied West Bank. Speaking on Tuesday at the opening of the Human Rights Council sitting, Volker Türk said there are rising attacks against Palestinians as well as the targeting of Israeli soldiers. Israel has begun daily "tactical pauses" throughout daytime hours to allow for humanitarian aid deliveries into Gaza. The United Nations aid agency, UNRWA has welcomed the move but says there are still some logistical issues to move the aid to where it will be needed. U.S Secretary of State, Antony Blinken says if the proposed ceasefire agreement in Gaza fails, only Hamas will be to blame. Blinken is in the Middle East discussing the proposal with regional leaders, in his eighth visit there since the war broke out. As Mitch McCann reports:

The United Nations Security Council has adopted a US-drafted resolution for a permanent ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, and the release of the hostages in Gaza.
