The Arab group of countries at the United Nations say a draft resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza will be table before the Security Council in the coming days. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Palestine's Ambassador, Riyad Mansour said the draft has massive support in the council and will be put to a vote even without the support of the United States.
The United Nations Secretary General says he is worried about the deteriorating conditions in Gaza. Speaking to reporters at the UN in New York on Tuesday, Antonio Guterres says he is particularly concerned about the security for humanitarian aid delivery. Guterres says he is pinning his hopes on the latest round of negotiations to avoid the devastating humanitarian consequences.

More pushback for Israel as thousands of Moroccans have taken to the streets of Rabat calling for an end to ties with Israel, over its actions in Gaza. Politicians from across the spectrum are reported to have been among the crowds. According to the BBC, Morocco established diplomatic ties with Israel in 2020 under a US-brokered Abraham Accords.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for a "massive operation" in Rafah, in the south of Gaza. This comes just hours after the US warned a military offensive in the city without proper planning would be a "disaster". United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, has appointed an independent review group to assess the UN Relief and Works Agency in Gaza. This follows accusations that at least 12 staff members of the agency were involved in Hamas’s deadly attack on Israel last year.
