Biden proposes extension to Gaza humanitarian pause

US President Joe Biden says he's hopeful that the current pause in hostilities between Israel and Hamas could be extended. The President spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday after Hamas released another 17 hostages in exchange for 39 Palestinians detained by the Israelis. Hamas released 17 hostages on Sunday, including a four-year-old American girl. It was the third daily release of hostages, with the fourth and final set of prisoners expected to be set free on Monday. Israel in turn released 39 Palestinians. However, as Mia Alberti in Lebanon reports the pause in fighting could be extended beyond the current four-day agreement.
