Cuban Ambassador condemns U.S. blockade

Speaking at a media briefing in Windhoek on Wednesday, Cuban Ambassador to Namibia, Sergio Vigoa de la Uz, addressed the 60-year blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and its impact. He called the embargo an act of 'genocide' against the Cuban people as it restricted access to international markets.     His comments come ahead of Cuba's resolution presentation at the United Nations General Assembly.

Mbumba emphasised the necessity of reaching a deal regarding the issues of genocide, apology, and reparations, an agreement that addresses the concerns and demands of affected communities and Namibia as a whole.
