Former US lawmaker George Santos pleads guilty to corruption charges

Former US Representative George Santos pleaded guilty to criminal corruption charges on Monday. The disgraced New York lawmaker appeared in a Long Island court where he admitted wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. In a statement, prosecutors said his "flagrant and disgraceful conduct has been exposed and will be punished". Santos could now face time behind bars. Here's our Sally Patterson with more.

The S.A Victim Identification Centre and Forensic Pathology Service in George in the Western Cape, has completed the identification of 18 of the 33 deceased from last week’s building collapse. Nineteen construction workers are still unaccounted for.
