Bank of Namibia Governor, Johannes !Gawaxab, has engaged stakeholders in Lüderitz about the potential from recent oil and gas discoveries and green hydrogen projects. The event, spanning from April 3 to April 4, 2024, included a public lecture titled "Positioning Namibia’s Oil & Gas Endowments: Avoiding the Dutch Disease". Lüderitz Airport passenger volumes increase

Passenger numbers at Lüderitz Airport have increased from 400 to 1420 per month as of March 2023. The Namibia Airports Company links the rise in traffic volume to increased oil and gas activities offshore and upcoming green hydrogen projects in the town. Here’s the NAC’s Dan Kamati.
