AHIF holds talks on powering investment into hospitality

The Africa Hospitality and Investment Forum is currently underway in Windhoek. The event brings together the who's who of the hotel investment community that drives investment into tourism projects, infrastructure, and hotel development. National Tourist occupancy rates across establishments rose to over 58% in April

In April, national occupancy rates across establishments rose to 58.1%, surpassing both April 2023's 51.2% and 2019 levels. This marks the highest monthly rate for this year, showing an 8.95% increase from March. The Hospitality Association of Namibia, Chief Executive Officer, Gitta Paetzold.

Tourism Sector Poised for Continued Growth in 2024

The tourism sector is showing promising signs of growth, with international arrivals at nationwide airports reaching 71,584 passengers from January to February 2024. This marks an increase from the 57,921 passengers recorded during the same period in 2023. Gitta Paetzold, CEO of the Hospitality Association of Namibia, provides insight into the positive trajectory of tourist inflows, indicating ongoing potential for expansion in the tourism industry.
