IAEA concerned about a nuclear disaster in Ukraine

The International Atomic Energy Agency says the world is getting dangerously close to a nuclear accident. The warning comes after several drone attacks on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in southeastern Ukraine. Speaking at the UN Security Council on Monday, Rafael Mariano Grossi, the Director General of the IAEA said everything must be done to minimize the risk of an accident. He says these "reckless attacks" must cease immediately.

IAEA head inspects ALPs discharge site at Fukushima

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency says he’s satisfied with Japan’s handling of the release of treated, nuclear contaminated wastewater from Fukushima. He is inspecting the discharge site on Wednesday, his first visit since Japan began the project in August.
