EU and UNICEF Boost Drought Aid to Hard-Hit Areas

The European Union has committed €911,000 (approximately N$19 million) to support emergency drought response through UNICEF, which is also contributing an extra €228,000 (about N$5 million) from its own resources. More than 10 thousand aid trucks have entered Gaza since ceasefire

The United Nations says it has reached a major milestone in humanitarian aid deliveries into Gaza. Tom Fletcher, the UN's head of humanitarian affairs on Thursday said 10 thousand trucks have entered the enclave since the ceasefire began on 19 January. 30 New Peace Corps Volunteers Sworn In

30 new Peace Corps Trainees were sworn in at the town of Okahandja, starting their two-year commitment as Health and Economic Empowerment Volunteers. Since 1990, a total of 1,886 volunteers have worked on community projects across Namibia. With the addition of this group, 60 volunteers are now serving in regions from Lüderitz to Katima Mulilo.
