There are strong calls for a two-state solution in the Middle East from the UN Security Council on Tuesday. The council held an open debate on the Israel-Gaza conflict attended by several Foreign Ministers. Jody Jacobs reports.
The US Senate has rejected a resolution that would have required the State Department to report on human rights violations that possibly occurred, using American equipment in Israel’s war in Gaza. The resolution, which was rejected by 72 votes to eleven, was led by progressive independent Bernie Sanders who said that it was to limit the war’s devastation.
