U.N Security Council vote on Gaza postponed again

The United Nations Security Council has officially postponed the vote on a humanitarian resolution on Gaza to Thursday. The vote was first scheduled for Monday but due to "intense" negotiations between member states the vote has been postponed several times. These delays come amid reported disagreements by the United States which has been trying to change the language of the resolution. Jody Jacobs reports from the United Nations.

United Nations ceasefire vote delayed amidst last-minute talks and Israeli shift

Last-minute negotiations have postponed a UN vote on a draft resolution for a Gaza ceasefire, as Hamas leader plans talks in Egypt. Egypt and Qatar facilitated a truce last month, resulting in a week-long ceasefire and the release of hostages. While Israeli leaders initially rejected a new ceasefire, President Isaac Herzog stated on Tuesday that the country is now prepared for a pause to facilitate additional hostage releases.
