ICJ orders Israel to cease Rafah offensive

The International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to halt its military offensive in Rafah.The ruling comes as the UN top court continues its probe into whether Israel has violated the Genocide Convention.Israel strongly denies the charges and the case brought by South Africa. The United Nations has suspended food distribution in the southern Gaza city of Rafah due to a lack of supplies and an untenable security situation caused by Israel's expanding military operation. The UN’s Scott Anderson says they are now re-evaluating logistics and security measures in Gaza.

U.S criticises ICC arrest warrant application
