Police arrest 24-year-old, seize 18.5 kg marijuana in Khomasdal bust

  A 24-year-old Namibian man was arrested early on 30 July at a residence on Miems Street, Khomasdal, after police intelligence revealed 18 parcels of compressed cannabis weighing over 18.5 kilograms. The drugs, with a street value estimated at N$929,000, were confiscated during the intelligence-led operation. Windhoek Extends Deadline for Voluntary Exchange of Katutura and Khomasdal Houses

The Municipal Council of Windhoek has provided an update on the Voluntary Exchange Programme for houses built in the 1959-1960s in Katutura and Khomasdal. The initiative, designed to celebrate and conserve the city’s heritage, has seen 23 applications so far.
