He has cancelled further engagements after president Trump reportedly asked Zelenskyy to leave the White House early ahead of an envisaged combined press conference. Senior Russian lawmakers indicate Trump could meet Putin this month

A senior Russian lawmaker believes a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could happen as early as this month or next. Chair of the Russian Parliament's International Affairs Committee, Leonid Slutsky, told Russian state media that plans for a meeting are at an "advanced stage" and that "it will take place soon". Kremlin responds angrily to US-Ukraine missile policy change

  Moscow has warned the United States that allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike Russian territory will prompt a "radical change" in the conflict. It comes after reports the Biden administration is finally granting Kyiv's request to use US-made missiles to hit much deeper into Russia. Nick Harper reports from Washington.

Russia targets Kyiv in drone attack

Russia launched multiple waves of drones targeting Ukraine's capital on Monday morning. Air raid alerts lasted for over five hours as air defense units worked to intercept attacks.     Reuters further reports that all the drones that Russia launched at Kyiv were either destroyed by defence systems or neutralised by electronic warfare, Serhiy Popko, the head of Kyiv's military administration said on the Telegram messaging app.
