India has summoned Canada's Deputy High Commissioner to express "deep concern and strong protest" after separatist slogans were raised at an event addressed by Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. Diplomatic relations between the two countries after Trudeau last year said there were "credible allegations" potentially linking India to the murder of a Sikh separatist leader in British Columbia.
