Windhoek Council Greenlights Rocky Crest Extension 8 Township for Urban Housing Demand

The Windhoek Municipal Council has approved the establishment of Rocky Crest Extension 8, a new township spanning 25 hectares with 227 erven. Aimed at meeting the rising demand for urban housing, the extension is positioned south of Rocky Crest, along Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Road's eastern boundary and Bernt Carlson Road's northwestern boundary. Lydia Amutenya, the City's spokesperson, provided the update.

City Of Windhoek Recycling Initiatives Launched in Windhoek Schools to Enhance Waste Management

Solid Waste Management, in collaboration with partners including the European Union, the City of Bremen, and the City of Windhoek, introduces recycling initiatives in schools named "sorting at source." This initiative is part of the project titled "Improving Waste Management In Windhoek," aiming to contribute to the reduction of adverse environmental impact in the city.
