The defence team for South Korea's impeached and arrested president Yoon Suk Yeol says that he will attend the Constitutional Court hearing today for the first time. Yoon was arrested last week over his attempt to impose martial law in the country in December. Rebecca Bundhun reports.
South Korea's ruling party chief demanded Friday that President Yoon Suk Yeol be removed from office, warning there was a "significant risk" he could try to subvert civilian rule again. Yoon imposed martial law on Tuesday citing threats from "anti-state forces" and North Korea, before reversing it six hours later after parliament, including some members of his party, voted to oppose the decree.
