Human Rights Watch says Israel has failed to comply with the International Court of Justice order connected with the genocide case brought against it by South Africa. Israel is expected to report back to the court on the actions it's taken to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and how it's prevented the commission of genocidal acts. Fears mount over further regional spillover in the Middle East

Regional tensions are mounting after an alleged Israeli strike on a residential building in the Syrian capital Damascus on Wednesday, with state media reporting the blast killed two people.
