India’s right wing leaders condemn Trump attack

Leaders from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party have condemned this weekend's attack on former US President Donald Trump. Some have even accused the opposition of similarly 'inciting violence' against Prime Minister Modi. Over the weekend, Modi tweeted to say he was 'deeply concerned' by the attack on 'his friend' Donald Trump, adding 'violence has no place in politics'. Neha Poonia has more.

Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party along with its allies have made history securing a slim majority in India's elections. The Hindu nationalist party lost its outright majority for the first time in a decade as voters defied predictions of another landslide. Modi says need to address ‘abnormal’ ties with China

In an interview to US magazine Newsweek India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that there's an urgent need to resolve 'abnormal' ties with China. The two countries have been engaged in a border standoff over a disputed frontier for nearly four years now. This is the second time this week Modi has made a reference to tense ties with China ahead of general elections.
