India’s right wing leaders condemn Trump attack

Leaders from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party have condemned this weekend's attack on former US President Donald Trump. Some have even accused the opposition of similarly 'inciting violence' against Prime Minister Modi. Over the weekend, Modi tweeted to say he was 'deeply concerned' by the attack on 'his friend' Donald Trump, adding 'violence has no place in politics'. Neha Poonia has more.

Modi makes history, BJP alliance scrapes past majority

Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party along with its allies have made history securing a slim majority in India's elections. The Hindu nationalist party lost its outright majority for the first time in a decade as voters defied predictions of another landslide. India's opposition alliance caused a major upset to the incumbent BJP especially in the party's crucial stronghold regions. Priyata Brajabasi has more.

India’s opposition parties reject exit polls predicting a landslide Modi win

India's opposition parties are calling pollsters predicting a third Modi term biased. After voting ended on Saturday in India's general elections, a vast majority of exit polls are predicting a landslide victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But critics say Mr Modi and the pollsters are in for a surprise when the votes are counted on Tuesday. Ishan Garg tells us more from New Delhi.

Modi says need to address ‘abnormal’ ties with China

In an interview to US magazine Newsweek India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that there's an urgent need to resolve 'abnormal' ties with China. The two countries have been engaged in a border standoff over a disputed frontier for nearly four years now. This is the second time this week Modi has made a reference to tense ties with China ahead of general elections.
