SA Hawks confirm fatal Emalahleni shootout

Five alleged ATM bombers were fatally shot by police in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, earlier today, with one other suspect sustaining injuries. Police spokesperson Katlego Mogale reported that a multi-disciplinary team was strategically stationed in Schoongezicht to monitor a white Toyota Hilux. When the targeted vehicle was seen leaving the area and officers attempted to intercept it, the suspects opened fire, resulting in a shootout.
