Government launches ‘My First Job’ program to address youth unemployment

To combat the high youth unemployment rate of 48%, the government is launching the "My First Job" program, comprising the Youth Employment Tax Incentive and National Internship Programme. Led by the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises, the Ministry of Higher Education, Technology & Innovation, and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, the initiative addresses graduate unemployment by providing initial industry experience for school leavers and graduates.
