Competition Commission Imposes Fine on Bank of Namibia Governor and Others for Unapproved Merger

The Namibian Competition Commission has fined Bank of Namibia Governor Johannes !Gawaxab, Ismael Gei-Khoibeb, and Gamma Investments CC for executing a merger without the necessary approval from the watchdog. Namibian Competition Commission Imposes Over N$13 Million Fines on Collusive Insurance Companies

The Namibian Competition Commission has fined insurance companies N$13.1 million for collusive practices. The first investigation revealed collusion in setting fixed prices for panel beating services, while the second uncovered restrictive agreements with windscreen retailers.
