The Namibian Police Force has made significant strides in combating drug-related crimes during September 2024. Over 195,620 kg of cannabis, 689 Mandrax tablets, 421 units of crack cocaine, and 2 grams of cocaine powder were seized throughout the month. Police Arrest 136 for Drug Possession Worth Nearly N$ 8 Million in May

The Namibian Police Force arrested 136 individuals for drug possession in May, with the drugs valued at almost N$8 million. NamPol's Head of Public Relations, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, reported that 127 of those arrested are Namibian, while the rest include nationals from Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Congo, and Tanzania.
