NamPost Begins January Social Cash Grants

NamPost Corporate Communication Officer, Joseph Teofelus, stated that the January social cash grant payments began this past Monday, 5 January, with mobile disbursements. In-branch payments are scheduled as follows: Nampost smart card recipients 6–8 January, old age and disability grants 12–14 January, child grants 15–17 January, and basic income grants 19–20 January. Teofelus advised beneficiaries to follow the schedule carefully.

Thousands Paid as NamPost Begins New Social Grant Cycle

NamPost has successfully registered and paid more than 20 percent of social grant beneficiaries in the first three days of the new payout period. Over 5,000 people have already received their payments, and all mobile units are now in operation. Spokesperson Gladwin Groenwaldt advised beneficiaries to adhere to the payout schedule and said NamPost remains committed to serving everyone efficiently.

NamPost Pilots Social Grant Payments.

NamPost will start piloting social grant payments on 9 October at Okahandja and Omitara post offices, with mobile payouts at Groot Aub and Otjimbingwe. The test run comes ahead of a nationwide rollout from 13 October, following the finance ministry’s decision to appoint NamPost as the official grant payment provider, says NamPost’s Corporate Communications Officer: Joseph Teofelus.

NamPost to handle nationwide cash distribution of social grants from October
