Shifeta Says Budget Couldn’t Support Nujoma’s Mandatory Youth Training Vision

Environment Minister Pohamba Shifeta says the national budget could not support the late Sam Nujoma’s vision of mandatory national youth training. Shifeta, a former deputy youth minister, recalls being among those assigned by Nujoma to help draft the National Youth Policy. Currently, the National Youth Service provides voluntary national service training. One Africa TV NewsOnOne’s Selma Ikela put this report together.

Vice President Mbumba calls for expanded job opportunities for the youth

Vice President Nangolo Mbumba is calling on the public and private sectors to open up employment opportunities not only for National Youth Service graduates but also for university graduates. Mbumba says the government recognises the plight of the youth and the many challenges they face, such as a lack of skills and high unemployment. Namibia Grape Company partners with Capespan for exports

Namibia has commissioned the export of its first-ever shipment of homegrown table grapes to European countries through the port of Walvis Bay on Wednesday.
