New York City’s congestion pricing programme hangs in the balance

The future of New York City's congestion pricing programme hangs in the balance. On Wednesday, U.S president Donald Trump ordered the project be scrapped but New York governor Kathy Hochul insists it's here to stay. Hochul and her team have sued over the order and announced it would continue to collect the tolls until a federal judge tells it to stop. Jody Jacobs has more from New York.

More than 10 thousand aid trucks have entered Gaza since ceasefire

The United Nations says it has reached a major milestone in humanitarian aid deliveries into Gaza. Tom Fletcher, the UN's head of humanitarian affairs on Thursday said 10 thousand trucks have entered the enclave since the ceasefire began on 19 January. Guterres warns Donald Trump against ethnic cleansing in Gaza

Antonio Guterres has warned against any form of "ethnic cleansing" in Gaza. The United Nations Secretary General was responding to US President Donald Trump's comments that the US take ownership of the Gaza strip and resettle Palestinians living there. Palestinian UN ambassador says the Gaza Strip is “our home”

The Palestinian Ambassador to the United Nations Riyad Mansour has responded to US President Donald Trump's assertion that the US would take over the Gaza Strip and that Palestinians will be resettled elsewhere. Speaking in New York shortly after the claim was made by Trump, Mansour said the Gaza strip is the home of the Palestinian people and leaders should respect that.
