Fatalities confirmed in Washington plane-helicopter crash

US authorities have confirmed there are fatalities after a commercial plane and military helicopter crashed at Ronald Reagan airport just out of Washington DC. At this stage the number of deaths is not known. A major search and rescue operation is underway, as teams search the Potomac River next to the airport where both aircraft crashed. UnitedHealthcare CEO murder suspect flown to NYC

The man suspected of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has been flown to New York to face federal murder charges. Luigi Mangione chose not to fight extradition from Pennsylvania where he was arrested. Nick Harper reports from Washington.

US returns two Bali bomber Guantanamo detainees

  The Pentagon has released two detainees held at the Guantanamo Bay facility back to Malaysia. Mohammed Farik bin Amin and Mohammed Nazir bin Lep had admitted carrying out war crimes for the Al Qaeda affiliate group that was responsible for the 2002 Bali bombing. Nick Harper reports from Washington.

US charges Syrians with war crimes
