South Africa's manufacturing production rose by 0.8-percent in October, with the biggest growth in the petroleum, chemicals, and food sectors. However, the motor vehicle sector dropped by 16.6-percent. South Africa’s Manufacturing Output Drops 0.8% in September

According to Statistics South Africa, the country’s manufacturing output fell by 0.8-percent in September, with the automotive sector largely responsible. This marks the second month of declining output, following a 1.2-percent drop in August. StatsSA’s Nicolai Claassen says production in motor vehicles, parts, and transport equipment fell by 18.7-percent, accounting for a significant portion of the overall decline:
