Zimbabwe police have arrested opposition leader Jameson Timba and 80 youths for holding an unauthorized political gathering, their lawyer reported on Monday. Timba, who became interim leader of Citizens Coalition for Change after Nelson Chamisa left the party in January, was arrested on Sunday. Lawyer Agency Gumbo stated that they remain in custody and are likely to be charged under public order laws, with efforts underway for their release.
