Thousands Line B1 in the North to Honor Sam Nujoma

The remains of late Founding President, Sam Nujoma, embarked on a solemn journey to Etunda village in the Okahao Constituency, where a memorial service was held yesterday. Thousands of mourners lined the B1 road from Ondangwa to Oshakati and Okahao, paying their final respects to the nation’s revered leader. Among those accompanying the procession was Citizen Nahas Angula, who shared his reflections on this historic moment.

Environment Ministry says there is progress in courts expansion

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism is pleased with the progress in establishing special wildlife courts. In 2024, courts in Oshakati, Rundu, and Katima Mulilo handled 181 cases, finalizing 102. Ministry spokesperson Romeo Muyunda stated that efforts are ongoing to secure external funding to expand the initiative in collaboration with the Judiciary and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Last Blood Donation Clinics of the Year Set for December 14

The final Saturday clinics for the year will be held on tomorrow 14 December, in Windhoek, Walvis Bay, Okahandja, and Oshakati, with donations accepted from 08:00 to 15:00 at various locations. The Namibia Blood Transfusion Service encourages all healthy individuals aged 16 to 65 to donate, and in return, donors will receive a festive gift as a token of appreciation for their lifesaving contribution.
