30 new Peace Corps Trainees were sworn in at the town of Okahandja, starting their two-year commitment as Health and Economic Empowerment Volunteers. Since 1990, a total of 1,886 volunteers have worked on community projects across Namibia. With the addition of this group, 60 volunteers are now serving in regions from Lüderitz to Katima Mulilo. Six Peace Corps volunteers, the fourth group of response volunteers to arrive in the country since Covid-19, have pledged to serve the nation.
