SA Police Issue Indemnity Forms to Volunteers in Hazardous Stilfontein Mine Rescue Operation

  S.A's Police have given indemnity forms to community volunteers helping with the Stilfontein mine rescue in North West. The police warned against sending officials into the abandoned mine due to dangers, including toxic gases and the risk of armed miners. In a media briefing, police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe confirmed an investigation is underway following the recovery of the decomposed body of an illegal miner:

Gauteng police say they have seized 300-million-rand worth of drugs in Fourways

In S.A, Gauteng police say they have seized 300-million-rand worth of drugs in Fourways, north of Johannesburg, and have rescued a kidnapped businessman. Eight kidnappers, including three Tanzanian nationals, were also arrested. It is understood the businessman was kidnapped on the fifth of July at a mosque in Helderkruin, Roodepoort. Police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, says the businessman was rescued at a house in Lenasia:

Search Continues for Missing Individuals After Flooding in Nelson Mandela Bay And Eastern Cape

Police and Rescue Diving Units In S.A are still searching for missing people following last week's flooding in large parts of Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape. Ten people died in severe storms and heavy rains that battered and caused extreme damage in many areas of the metro. Police spokesperson, Priscilla Naidu, says the areas most affected are KwaNobuhle, Kariega, Walmer, Blue Horizon Bay, and Kamesh.
