Dr Marius Kudumo weighs in on Journalist Escorted from State House.

Journalist Jemima Beukes was allegedly escorted out of State House after posing a question to the President during the opening of the first Cabinet meeting, despite prior communication that no questions would be allowed. Public policy analyst Dr Marius Kudumo weighed in on the incident, saying there should be respect for the Head of State’s decision when she declines to take questions.

President relieves Minister of his duties

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has relieved Natangwe Ithete of his duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, with immediate effect. In the interest of continuity, the President will temporarily assume responsibility for the ministry. The Presidency thanked Ithete for his service, confirming that he will remain a Member of Parliament, and reaffirmed its commitment to good governance and accountability.
