A city in north India in the country's most populous state is on edge, days after four people were killed and dozens more injured in clashes. India's richest and second most populous state Maharashtra (prono: MAH-HA-RUSH-TRA) is voting to choose a new government on Wednesday. India’s election body asks X to take down “anti-muslim” campaign video

India's Election body has asked social media platform X to take down a video depicting Muslims as disproportionate beneficiaries of past government policies. The video was posted by the state unit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party - and is now being slammed for allegedly spreading hatred against minorities. Local police have registered complaints against BJP Party officials, as Ishan Garg tells us.
