Environment Ministry says there is progress in courts expansion

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism is pleased with the progress in establishing special wildlife courts. In 2024, courts in Oshakati, Rundu, and Katima Mulilo handled 181 cases, finalizing 102. Ministry spokesperson Romeo Muyunda stated that efforts are ongoing to secure external funding to expand the initiative in collaboration with the Judiciary and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
