Chinese Firm Supports Nujoma Memorial in Rundu

The China Civil Engineering and Construction Company has donated items worth N$20,000 to support the Rundu memorial service for Founding President Sam Nujoma. The company also provided workers and trucks to assist in preparing the Rundu Sports Stadium for the event. Environment Ministry says there is progress in courts expansion

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism is pleased with the progress in establishing special wildlife courts. In 2024, courts in Oshakati, Rundu, and Katima Mulilo handled 181 cases, finalizing 102. Ministry spokesperson Romeo Muyunda stated that efforts are ongoing to secure external funding to expand the initiative in collaboration with the Judiciary and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
