Ukraine and China discuss ending Russia war

Ukraine's foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba is in China this week, he says, to find common ground with Beijing and discuss a way to end the war with Russia. He has so far met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Guangzhou, where he said Ukraine was ready for talks if Moscow was prepared to negotiate in good faith. Megumi Lim reports from Kyiv.

EU finds loophole to bypass Hungary veto

The EU has found a legal way around Hungary's veto on using frozen Russian assets to purchase weapons for Ukraine. According to the Financial Times, Hungary's abstention from an earlier EU agreement this year has created a loophole, allowing Brussels to allocate these funds for military purposes.
