Outjo Symposium Targets Learning Poverty in Africa

The Education Ministry, in collaboration with the African Union, European Union, and UNICEF, is hosting a two-day symposium in Outjo focused on addressing learning poverty. Education Minister Lauds Progress as AS-Level Entries Rise

Education Minister Anna Nghipondoka revealed that 12,031 students, or 29.5%, are advancing to the Advanced Subsidiary level this year. Adding that this marks a notable improvement in the education system by c=contrast to the year prior. MoE Executive Director, Sanet Steenkamp: The Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress, Mahongora Kavihuha, states that while there has been some slight improvement, further action is required.

Tragic Loss: Learner’s Body Recovered After Drowning

The body of O'Linn Nauyoma, a learner from Etosha Secondary School, has been recovered after he drowned in Lake Guinas during a school trip on 8 September 2024.
