Emergency declared in Maryland after bridge collapse

Several people are missing after a bridge collapsed after a container ship collided with it in Baltimore in the United States. Multiple vehicles fell into the Patapsco River beneath. The Francis Scott Key Bridge broke into pieces after the impact. Simon Marks reports.

A group of skiers who went missing over the weekend have been found dead in the Swiss Alps. Police made the announcement early Monday, as the search continues for a final member of the group that remains missing.

Search underway after landslide in China’s Yunnan Province

Search and rescue efforts are underway for at least 47 people believed to be buried in a landslide in southwest China’s Yunnan province. More than 500 people have been evacuated from the region, and there are no immediate reports of deaths or injuries. Landslides, often caused by rain or unsafe construction work, are not uncommon in China.
