Namibia City of Windhoek Council to write-off over half a billion in debt The City of Windhoek Council has announced a debt relief programme for eligible residents and businesses, totalling N$524 million. This is according to a press release issued on Tuesday by City of Windhoek spokesperson Lydia Amutenya. According to Amutenya, the programme will offer 100 per cent interest cancellation for pensioners, and 50 per cent interest cancellation for businesses, residential debtors, and other debtors.
