South Africa’s AfriForum Pushes for Matric Results Publication

  S.A's AfriForum is preparing legal action to ensure this year's matric results are published on media platforms after the Information Regulator banned their release. A similar 2022 case saw AfriForum win against the Department of Basic Education, securing publication of the results. AfriForum's Alana Bailey says public interest outweighs privacy concerns since only exam numbers are shared:

SA to Digitise Housing Records, Tackle Performance and Corruption in Housing Sector

  South Africa's Human Settlements minister Mmamoloko Kubayi has confirmed plans to digitise housing beneficiary records and announced a review of housing delivery performance. In an SABC interview, she expressed concern over metro and municipal performance and emphasised the importance of the Housing Consumer Protection Bill in ensuring quality construction. Kubayi also urged the prosecution of corrupt officials to maintain credibility in the sector:
