This move comes despite the party's clarification, conveyed by its lawyer Sisa Namandje, that SWAPO's constitution does not explicitly mandate an extraordinary congress to be held three months after the death of a sitting president.

Kadiva Hamutumwa elected President of NEKA

The Namibian Exile Kids Association's Annual General Meeting has elected Kadiva Hamutumwa as its new president, with Sackey Nendongo as deputy and Elisabeth Nghitende as Secretary-General, assisted by Simubali Simubali.
