Thaksin Shinawatra

Police in Thailand have charged former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra with defamation against the monarchy over comments he made almost a decade ago. It comes just weeks before his possible release from prison, where he is serving time for abuse-of-power and corruption charges.Patrick Fok reports.
